Kustec: Explosion-proof Door Standard
Other Products
Material Requirements
Door Panel Material: The door panel of the blast-resistant door should be made of materials with high anti-explosion strength, such as armored steel plate or boiler steel plate. The thickness should be determined based on actual requirements and relevant standards.
Frame Material: The door frame skeleton is typically assembled and welded from angle steel, channel steel, I-beam, etc.
Hardware Accessories: When assembling the door hinges, bronze bushings and washers should be installed to prevent sparks caused by friction and collision during opening and closing. Other hardware components should also possess sufficient strength and durability to withstand the pressure and thermal effects of explosion shock waves.
Sealing Material: The edges of the door leaf should be lined with rubber soft pads to eliminate sparks that may occur due to friction and collision during operation, while ensuring the door's sealing performance.
Performance Requirements
Blast Resistance: The blast-resistant door should be capable of withstanding the load within the predetermined range of incident and reflected explosion shock waves. Based on blast resistance, blast-resistant doors can be classified into different levels, such as 10KPa, 20KPa, 30KPa, etc. The specific selection should be made according to the required pressure value.
Fire Integrity: After an explosion, the blast-resistant doors and windows should meet the fire integrity requirement of 1.0 hour.
Sealing Performance: After an explosion, the blast-resistant door should maintain sealing performance, with smoke leakage not exceeding 25m³/h. If the predetermined explosion load is not reached, smoke leakage should not exceed 20m³/h.
Repeated Opening and Closing Performance: For manually operated blast-resistant doors and windows, the repeated opening and closing performance should be determined based on design usage, with the operating force not exceeding 100N. For blast-resistant windows equipped with linkage devices, the repeated opening and closing performance should be tested, with the number of cycles not less than 50,000.
Design Requirements
Structural Design: The blast-resistant door should undergo structural design verification under explosion load conditions. The structure should be reasonable, simple, reliable, and easy to install and maintain.
Dimensions and Geometric Tolerances: Dimensions and geometric tolerances should comply with relevant standards to ensure installation accuracy and performance.
Installation Requirements
Installation Location: The blast-resistant door should be installed on a solid wall or blast-resistant enclosure with certain anti-explosion capabilities.
Gap Treatment: Gaps between steel or aluminum alloy door and window frames and the opening should be filled tightly with soft materials that are thermal-insulating, moisture-proof, and non-corrosive. Waterproof mortar can also be used for filling, but mortar containing sea sand should be avoided.
Other Requirements
Grading and Marking of Blast-Resistant Doors: Grading and marking should be carried out according to relevant standards to facilitate identification and selection of suitable blast-resistant doors.
Testing and Inspection: Blast-resistant doors must undergo rigorous testing and inspection, including blast resistance tests, fire resistance tests, sealing tests, etc., to ensure their performance meets standard requirements.
